TMEIC Corporation
TMEIC Corporation designs, develops and engineers advanced automation systems, large rotating machinery, and variable speed drives specializing in serving metals, material handling, oil and gas, mining, testing and other industrial markets. It carries out research and development for the latest drive, motor, and automation technologies. Application experience includes metal rolling mills, container cranes, conveyors, grinding mills, draglines, fans, pumps, compressors, high performance test stands and many others.
== History ==
TMEIC Corporation has evolved in the past decade from a joint venture between GE and Toshiba into a wholly owned subsidiary of TMEIC. In 2000, GE Drive Systems and Toshiba formed "GE Toshiba" to serve the drive systems market. In 2003, Toshiba and Mitsubihi-Electric formed (TMEIC) in Japan and "GE Toshiba" became TMEIC GE in the US. In 2011, (TMEIC) purchased GE's remaining minority share and TMEIC Corporation was formed in Roanoke, VA. Through all this change, the company built a strong reputation for providing world class motors, drives and automation systems.
